Delete Your Account

You can delete your eKosha account and its data at any time, directly from the app. This page explains how to do it, what happens during the 30-day grace period, and exactly which data is deleted and which is retained (and why).

1. How to delete your account (in the app)

  1. Open the eKosha app and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings and tap Delete Account (under the Account section).
  3. Read the warning and tap Schedule Account Deletion.
  4. Confirm your identity by re-entering your password (or re-verifying with Google, depending on how you sign in).

The app is available on Android and on the web at app.ekosha.co.in.

Your profile & identity (name, email, phone, date of birth) Permanently deleted
Your assets, co-owners and nominees Permanently deleted
Shares you created and shares made to you Permanently deleted, and you are removed from other people's vaults
Your saved contacts, notifications and in-app activity Permanently deleted
Your subscription and sign-in credentials Permanently deleted
Consent records Retained for 7 years as required by the DPDP Act 2023 (legal hold)
Promo-code usage & email-unsubscribe preference Retained in anonymised form (no personal data) to prevent abuse and honour a prior unsubscribe

Retained items either carry no personal data or are kept only where the law requires it. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.

4. Can't access the app?

If you can no longer sign in, you can still request deletion of your account and personal data by email. Contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@ekosha.co.in or write to privacy@ekosha.co.in. We respond within 30 days of receiving your request.
